Our Journey

After our son Christopher passed away on March 5, 1998, from a self inflected gun shot I've taken it upon myself to get involved in advising other parents about gun safety. I am currently working with a program called >C.A.R.G.O. (Communities Addressing Responsible Gun Ownership). With this group we go to different schools in Broward County and speak to the parents about the importance of having a safety lock on your gun. Talking to our kids about guns does not always help. In our case, we always talked to our three boys about the dangers of handling a gun. We must go a step further and make sure our guns are out of their reach and locked at all times.
